La Palma, the garden isle, is noted for it's traditional crafts and beautiful Spanish colonial buildings in the capital, Santa Cruz. The interior of the island is dominated by a gigantic volcanic crater, La Caldera de Taburiente. La Palma is also home to the only active volcano in Spain.

- Casablanca, Morocco
A city whose very name summons images of romance and exoticism. Explore the Royal Palace and the lighthouse or join an excursion to the walled medina of Rabat, the country's capital.
- Tangier, Morocco
"Come with me to the Casbah" is a byword for entering this city, once the base for the Moorish conquest of Spain.
- Gibraltar
The 14,000 feet high Rock of Gibraltar marks the mediterranean's end. Take a cable car to the top or explore the many caves and tunnels. Visit the famous Barbary apes or shop at familiar shops in the town.
