Grytviken also has some of the most photographed landmarks on South Georgia including the Whalers Church and nearby cemetary that is Ernest Shackleton's final resting place. Near the cemetary on a hill behind Grytviken lies the only evidence in the area of the Falklands conflict of 1982, an Argentinean Puma Helicopter downed by British Forces from King Edward Point.
